A well-prepared on-site service visit can save valuable production time.
Before the OCTUM technician arrives, five points should be clarified:
Define the technical contact
A person familiar with the system and the reported issue should be available.
Plan access to the equipment
The technician needs safe access to the inspection system and the relevant machine areas.
Reserve a suitable production window
Some tests may require the line to be stopped or operated with defined sample products.
Prepare products and formats
Have the affected products, variants and inspection formats available.
Collect relevant information
Error messages, screenshots, production data and previous troubleshooting steps provide valuable context.
If internal IT, maintenance, quality or machine supplier personnel need to participate, they should also be informed in advance.
Good preparation allows the technician to focus on the technical task instead of waiting for access, products or internal contacts.
